A 150-page drawing package is only useful if the reader can find the sheet they need. A contents page and bookmarks turn a stack of drawings into a document your supplier, reviewer or customer can actually use.
Why not build it by hand?
A hand-made contents page silently goes wrong. Someone adds a bracket to the assembly and the index still lists last month’s structure. PDMPublisher builds the page from the same reference data as the export, so the index and the drawings cannot disagree.

How to set it up
- Publish the assembly with PDF selected and Export references to file formats individually on.
- Turn on Merge exported PDFs into one master PDF.
- Turn on Add table of content to merged PDF.
- Pick the columns: Just Name, Name & Quantity, or Custom Columns to add custom properties such as part number, revision or material.
- Add a PDF bookmarks pattern so every drawing gets a clickable bookmark.
Where it helps most
- RFQ packages, where the quantity column means purchasing does not send a separate BOM
- Release records, where the contents page lists every drawing released at that revision
- Customer documentation with part number, revision and material on the first page
