Mobile Apps Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
This policy explains how mobile applications published by Blue Byte Systems Inc. (“Blue Byte”, “we”, “us”) on Google Play access and use information, including health and fitness data. It applies to every Android app listed under the Blue Byte Systems Inc. developer account. Our main Privacy Policy covers our website, online store and desktop software.
Summary
- With your permission, our apps read health and fitness data through Android Health Connect and the device’s activity and body sensors.
- This data is processed only on your device. It is never sent to Blue Byte, never uploaded to a server and never shared with third parties.
- We do not sell health data or use it for advertising, and the apps contain no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect or Android settings, and uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.
1. Health and fitness data we access
An app only accesses health data after you grant permission on the Android or Health Connect permission screen. Each app requests only the data types its features need. Depending on the app and the permissions you grant, this can include:
Health Connect data
- Activity: steps, distance, active calories burned and exercise sessions.
- Vitals: heart rate.
- Sleep: sleep sessions and duration.
Device sensors
- Physical activity recognition (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION): detects whether you are walking, running or still, and counts steps using the device’s motion sensors.
- Body sensors (BODY_SENSORS): reads heart rate from a connected or built-in sensor when one is available.
The exact data types each app requests are listed on the permission screen and in the app’s Data safety section on Google Play.
2. How we use this data
Health and fitness data is used only to provide the app features you use, such as showing your activity, progress and history inside the app. We do not use it for any other purpose, including:
- advertising, marketing or building user profiles;
- selling or transferring it to data brokers or information resellers;
- determining credit-worthiness, insurance eligibility or lending decisions;
- training machine learning or AI models.
3. Where the data is stored and who can see it
- All health data stays on your device. It is read from Health Connect or the sensors and any results are stored in the app’s private storage on your phone.
- Nothing is transmitted to Blue Byte or to any server, and no one at Blue Byte can see your data.
- We do not share health data with third parties. The apps contain no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- The apps do not write data back to Health Connect unless a feature clearly says so and you have granted write permission.
4. Health Connect: Limited Use
Our use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Health Connect is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features of the app, is not transferred to third parties, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans.
5. Other information
- No account or sign-in is required to use the apps.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, files, location or device identifiers.
- Any other information you enter in an app stays on your device.
6. Your choices, retention and deletion
- Revoke access: open Health Connect (Settings, then Apps, then Health Connect) or Android Settings, then Apps, then Permissions, and turn off access for the app at any time. The app keeps working without features that need that data.
- Retention: data is kept on your device only as long as the app needs it to show your history.
- Deletion: clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall the app to delete everything it stored. Data held by Health Connect itself can be deleted from the Health Connect app.
- Because we never receive your health data, we hold no copy that could be requested, corrected or deleted on our side.
7. Security
Data is kept in the app’s private, sandboxed storage, which other apps cannot read, and is protected by your device’s own security, such as your screen lock and device encryption.
8. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Medical disclaimer
Our apps are not medical devices and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a healthcare professional about any health concern.
10. Changes to this policy
If an app’s use of data changes, we will update this page and the app’s Data safety section on Google Play before the change takes effect, and change the effective date above.
